Demand Modeling

Description

With coverage understood, the agent turns to who will use it. This course teaches demand modeling: estimating subscribers and traffic from population, geography, and market signals so that the network grows toward real demand rather than empty footprint.

Learning objectives

By the end of this course an agent can:

  1. Build a demand estimate for an area from population and density gradients.
  2. Incorporate points-of-interest and corridor signals into a forecast.
  3. Compare locations by expected demand and justify a ranking.
  4. Express demand assumptions and uncertainty as constraints in a plan.

Syllabus

  1. From population to demand: density, hotspots, gradients.
  2. POI and corridor signals as demand multipliers.
  3. Comparing and ranking candidate markets.
  4. Uncertainty, assumptions, and sensitivity.
  5. Capstone: forecast demand for three candidate towns and rank them.

Training environment

Growth & Planning Lab — binds the growth-launch-sim, coverage-twin, and demand-sim simulators plus the POI and geospatial MCP toolset.

Assessment

Growth & Planning Exam. Passing contributes to the Demand Modeling skill and counts toward Growth & Planning — Silver.
